Presentation Reflection #2

We all were given the chance to give presentations. I enjoyed the experience and watching everyone give their presentations. Everyone seems to be knowledgeable about their part of the presentation, no one seemed to be lost and not know what they were talking about. Seeing all the slides made it clear that everyone put in effort into the presentations.

A small little detail that I enjoyed was the fact that in my groups presentation, when I was working on my part I noticed that everyone had their own background color on their own slides. I thought it was just a small cool little detail that I noticed. Also, I did try to make my slides a little more decorative by adding color to each of my slide and be a little more creative when it came to making my own slides and I did say in my last blog that I would try to be more creative with my slides.

One of the things I enjoyed was how visually appealing the slides were. There were a lot of pictures on each slide of each group it definitely made it easier to follow along and understand what they were saying. I think that having those bold letters, colors, and some texts really does make it easier to understand.

I am honestly impressed on how our groups performance went especially how our group leader assigned us each question and we knew who was dealing with what part of the presentation. What I did not expect was with this presentation we had so much information to give. Each of our group members had so much information to give that we had to split our presentation into two classes. I honestly think that our groups presentation was the longest out of the three. Either way, I am glad that our group was well organized and there were no confusion among the group and that everything went smoothly, there were no awkward pauses like our last presentation and the video we used this time did not cause any trouble this time.

Group 2's presentation was also quite informational. They gave a plenty amount of information about their slides. Although I do feel like that they had too much text on their slides and definitely should cut some text off because having to read and listen to the person who is giving the presentation can definitely overwhelm the audience and can even drive the audience away from paying attention to the presentation. With this diverted attention I think they should have more diagrams and and pictures that correlate to their to what they are talking about so that way the audience can listen while looking at the pictures so that way they aren't overwhelmed.

Group 3's performance on their presentation was well. Their presentation flowed smoothly and they maintained this by not having any awkward pauses. They were knowledgeable about their topics but again, like my group and even Group 2's presentation there was too much texts on the slides. Overwhelming me, I really could not catch up between listening and reading the slides. Their presentation would be better if there was more pictures and way less wall of texts. Besides that, they performed well and showed that they know what they were talking about.

It was nice to see that  each group had their positives and negatives everyone showed that they put in the effort to make the presentation look and sound good and that not everyone is perfect . It looked like everyone felt confident about their slides and presentation while they were presenting it.

When it came to working with my group they were really helpful and we worked really well together.
But the person that really helped around in the group was none other than Anthony. He, in particular, was the awesome the way he kept things organized and made sure everyone was working on their part. If anyone asked a question in the group chat Anthony would most likely be the one to answer out of all of us with a voice recording rather than a wall of text which is easier to understand in my opinion. Even when I asked a question about the presentation late at night, he acted fast to respond back to me with a voice recording to answer my question.

Also, I loved how engaging our presentation was. For example one of our group mates asked questions when they were doing their presentation, which made the experience more enjoyable and also cracked a few jokes. It made the whole experience more enjoyable and fun rather than just listening and doing nothing. I feel like a little bit a jokes and fun can make the sitting through the presentation a more enjoyable experience and make the presentation a little personal and can make a connection.

After seeing the others groups presentations I definitely saw some flaws and positives that we did in our presentation. Our presentation was not perfect but it was another learning experience for me and my group members. Seeing the other groups presentations gave me pretty good feedback on what I did wrong and what I did right. In Addition, videos are a great addition to the presentation just make sure they on topic and short.

Looking back at the Panopto video of our presentation it is clear that everyone put a lot of time and effort into the presentation including me which I feel proud of. In the end I feel like we made the presentation the best we can make it to be. Everyone was well prepared and the fact that every groups presentation was smooth and had no awkward cuts when during the presentation.

These presentations were a great learning experience and improve my social skills when it came to talking in front of a lot of people and improve my presentation skills. It was kind of motivating seeing how much effort everyone put into their presentations. Our presentation was not perfect but it was a perfect learning experiences. I am proud of our groups presentation and how much effort we put into it. There is always room for improvement and I am looking forward to our next lessons and group projects.
